Progrès 2020-2022

In the fall of 2018, Bao’s Pastry first began in the small kitchen of a Valparaiso home. It is here that Bao began creating delicious Kouign Amann that so many of fell in love with. After countless hours of baking, selling at markets, making special deliveries, and inviting people into her home, Bao’s Pastry slowly developed a reputation for delicious French pastries. Bao, with the help of her husband, Hà, sister Phi Phi, and many new, American friends, opened her first brick and mortar. When we reflect on those early days of working around the clock with only a handful of staff, we can smile. How did we come so far? From the moment we posted on social media our storefront opening, Bao’s Pastry was selling out in hours.

We began advertising our need for help. As time passed, our team continued to grow. Every week yielded more production than the previous. As our production increased, YOU, beautiful customers, visited Bao’s in droves. Despite the pandemic, you were willing to wait in long lines, being patient with us as we found our footing. To you, we say Merci. Thank you for believing in Bao’s Pastry, for visiting our shop, for allowing Bao’s to be the centerpiece of your family celebrations, for sharing our pastries with your wedding guests, and for encouraging us to keep going. We are excited to be on this journey with you. Please continue to visit Bao’s this holiday season.
